Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.
The nurses are available by appointment.
Holds an ante-natal clinic on alternative Thursday afternoons at the surgery by appointment. Messages cannot be left at reception to be passed to the midwife.

Pregnant ladies can now self-refer to book to meet your midwife to plan your care , go our website, www.esht.nhs.uk/our-services/maternity/referral. Fill in your details and click “submit”, your community midwife will be in contact with you to book your first appointment.
A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
The health visitors are not based at the Surgery but do run drop in clinics on the first Tuesday afternoon of each month and can be contacted by calling the following number: 01424 775242 (please ring to check which Tuesdays they will be in).
Community Psychiatric Nurse
Community psychiatric nurses work with the practice team to look after patients with mental health needs.
The community chiropodist clinics are run via the Conquest Hospital by referred from you doctor.
