Home Visits

Doctor's bag

Home visits will be accepted for those patients who are unable to attend the surgery due to their medical condition. Social or transport reasons are not considered acceptable for a home visit by the doctor.

All requests for home visits must be received before 10:30. unless urgent and will normally be carried out between am and pm surgeries.

We would ask you to pass the facts to the receptionist so that they can be passed to the visiting doctor. A doctor may telephone you in advance of visiting to clarify matters.

You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
